Food +Film :Like Water for Chocolate

THIS SUNDAY: Our Collab Series with Hollywood Theatre and Eno Wines

For our summer installment of Food and Film in collaboration Hollywood Theatre and Eno Wines, we’ve chosen 1992 magical realism masterpiece ‘Like Water for Chocolate’, screening this SUNDAY July 14 at 6pm at Hollywood Theatre. Following the film, at 8:30 we’re hosting a VIP Afterparty at the Vivienne Culinary Books.

Director Alfonso Arau’s 1992 film is a gorgeous adaptation of Mexican author, Laura Esquivel’s novel and runs deep with themes of forbidden love, insatiable appetites and so many deeply soulful recipes.

The celebration kicks off at 8:30 p.m. and VIP admission includes a ticket to the screening at the Hollywood , a welcome drink of Mexican sparkling wine, and a line up of evocative small plates inspired by the film. A selection of Mexican wines curated by Eno Wines will be for sale by the glass.
